History

2005 Walter Martens, a software developer, built the e³ (pronounced e-cubed) development platform and began building out an enterprise incentive management system to calculate and process sales commissions and incentives. Robert Buckley and Olyia Buckley joined then-named Exceed Technologies Inc. as consultants.

2006 In early 2006, Robert and Olyia proposed the building of a total compensation suite of applications for the talent management market, making compensation the centerpiece. Robert's vision for the new product grew out of 25 years with leading HR and Compensation solution providers and listening to the problems prospects and clients described as pain points in their business processes. With Robert's years of experience with top tier HRIS/HRMS companies to lead the way, Walter and Green's software development team, under the direction of lead architect, Davamani Kothandan, designed and built an integrated compensation application that addresses the needs of Human Resource professionals for better talent management. In November 2006, Robert was named CEO.

2007 Version 1.0 of The Green Total Compensation Suite was launched in January 2007 under the renamed company, Green Total Compensation Inc. Immediately recognized by the analyst community and prospective customers alike, Green was named one of HR Executive Magazine's Top HR Products of the Year for 2007 at the annual HR Executive Technology Expo in Chicago. Green stands alone as the first and currently only company to holistically grow and natively integrate Employee Compensation with transaction-based Sales Compensation in a single application. In its first year Green secured four clients, one of whom, a financial institution, has increased their sales 400% within 12 months of installation, and a global Fortune 5 financial and electronics company that considers Green, "a source of competitive advantage" for their business.

2008 In April, Aberdeen Research released their "2008 Compensation Benchmarking Study: Taming Costs - Rewarding Employees," stating that 66% of all companies surveyed prefer an integrated application, further validating Robert Buckley's vision. In June, Green Total Acquisition Corporation, a New York State corporation, founded by Robert Buckley, Olyia Buckley and Walter Martens acquired Green Total Compensation and formally moved all operations to New York City. Green TotalComp Solutions, an exclusive development partner is located in Chennai India. Today the Green Total Compensation Suite is the only "single-click" enterprise view of total compensation boardroom to the mailroom and features: Executive Compensation, Employee Compensation, Sales Compensation, and Incentives & Rebates, for non-employee application based on transactions. Green has increased its pipeline considerably during 2008 and now closing sales in both on-premise and SaaS delivery models. Additionally, Green is aligning with strategic partners and expects announcements in the near term. Robert continues as Green's Chief Executive Officer; Walter is the VP of Product Development and Green's Chief Technology Officer; while Olyia continues her work as VP of Corporate Development and as its new Chief Operating Officer; and Davamani is the General Manager of Green's India operations and continues as lead architect.
