Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the Green Total Compensation Suite?
A: The GTCS is an integrated suite of applications that today includes Green Sales Compensation, for transaction-based sales compensation and Green Employee Compensation for merit, variable and performance-based stock. In the future the suite will include: Green Performance Management, Green Recruiting and Green Market Surveys.

Q: How robust are the individual applications for Sales Compensation and Employee Compensation?
A: Both applications are world-class and robust enough to stand on their own and compete with any product in their space. When combined, they are unique and offer differentiation not available anywhere else.

Q: What is the difference between the Green Total Compensation Suite and other applications that claim to be integrated?
A: GTCS is architected, built and natively integrated. Competing “suites” are not really suites at all, but individual applications that were acquired and merged or third party applications that feature a pre-built custom interface. This “MacGyver” effect, where computer code is substituted for duct tape to integrate applications has serious implications for businesses that attempt it.

Q: How is the Green Total Compensation Suite built?
A: The GTCS is built on a proprietary core engine called e3. It is a source of competitive advantage for Green, because workflow, integration, security and other key elements are contained in the core engine and flow into any application built on top of it.

Q: What is the key value proposition for a company using the Green Total Compensation Suite?
A: In a customer-centric strategy, interactions with customers that are recorded in a CRM/SFA system can be equated to key performance indicators, skills and activities in any performance management system that are then rewarded directly in GTCS. It is fast, easy and removes the subjectivity from the performance management process that is often a litigation target.

Q: The applications are bundled, can they be purchased separately?
A: Yes, clients may choose to purchase only the applications that they need within the GTCS. All the applications will be installed together, but access will be given to the components for which the client has paid. Additional modules and functionality are unlocked with a license key upon payment of a nominal incremental fee.

Q: How does maintenance work?
A: Maintenance is 18% and includes all dot releases and major releases. 24/7 support is available.

Q: How is the Green Total Compensation Suite implemented?
A: GTCS is implemented with a well-honed implementation methodology that was developed in-house. Green’s implementation policy is user-focused in order to deliver maximum value to the client. A full presentation is available to interested prospective clients.

Q: Does the Green Total Compensation Suite work with Oracle/PeopleSoft and other HRMS’s?
A: Yes. Integration happens through standards like XML Webservices. GTCS was also architected and built by a staff that had deep PeopleSoft experience. This is an advantage for Green at implementation time.

Q: What are Green’s differentiating features and benefits?
A: Please refer to the GTCS data sheet in resources.

Q: On what development platform is the Green Total Compensation Suite built?
A: GTCS is built on the MS .NET platform.

Q: What databases does the Green Total Compensation Suite run on?
A: Green is certified on SQL and runs well on Oracle™ with certification in process.
